Cold mounting provides protection and support of the sample surface, makes it easier to handle the sample, allows for several small samples in one mount and gives uniform sizes for clamping in a sample holder. Cold mounting resins cure through a chemical reaction. We have carefully selected resins from the two prevailing systems used in metallography to offer you state-of-the-art solutions.

Hot Mounting
Hot mounting provides protection and support of the sample surface, makes it easier to handle the sample, allows for several small samples in one mount and gives uniform sizes for clamping in a sample holder. Hot mounting resins are to be used in a mounting press, where they are processed at high pressure and temperature to very uniform mounts ideal for examination in upright microscopes or other devices requiring specific sizes or shapes. Depending on your requirements, several different hot mounting compounds are available for your hot mounting process:

Mounting Accessories
Our accessories; mounting cups, silicone lids, clips, mould release agents and protection caps help you obtain the best possible mounting result with the lowest effort. For example, by keeping your sample in the correct position while curing, making it easy to get the mount released from the mould or protecting the sample after preparation.
